Winter Camping

Time to start the blog back up again in readiness for this weekends Explorer Camp.

As the weather forecast says -1 for Friday night and the leaders are busy menu planning, program planning, shopping and getting kit out there is a very small part of me that wonders -

"why?"

Of course the thought of a night hike and building a bridge over a river make it all seem better. As for attempting to teach the Explorers to make chicken pie (suet pastry and a white sauce, all from scratch) - well it seems like a good idea at the moment! Must remember to pack rolling pins...

The morning after!

Firstly a big thank you to all the parents who helped unload the van yesterday. It was very much appreciated.

So all the cubs, scouts and explorers appear to have had a good time and all that is left for the leaders is to clear up. We will be at Marsh Street about 1pm this afternoon if anyone wants to help.

Please keep checking the website for updates, see you in September and have a great Summer.

When we get home

Contemplating packing up at the moment and it's a daunting thought...

We will update everyone when we are nearly back but can we ask that parents join us about 3pm to help with unloading?

Please also make sure that the enterence to Marsh street is left clear because we will be arriving with lots of trailers.

Tents

We've tried very hard but it's end of the week and I thought some parents might like a sneak peak inside their children's tents whilst they are eating dinner!!!!!

Sports day

We've had water fun this morning with "lilo" races and other silly games followed by sports day this afternoon:
