All set up

So it's been a very busy day getting everything set up. We have finally got all the tents and marquee almost sorted and our tame plumbers and electricians have been working miracles. We've gone from this:

To... Erm, well it's too dark for pictures so they will have to wait till tomorrow!...

Thank you to the Explorers who volunteered to cook the BBQ - everyone has eaten loads of burgers and sausages, even a few cucumbers and tomatoes have gone.

All scouts are now in bed and Explorers will be soon.

Breakfast at 7.30am tomorrow...

We've arrived

Everyone has arrived safely on site and are eating lunch whilst we try to work out where to put everything!

Not sure if it'll all fit... We have 3 fridges, 3 out board motors and a boat amongst the standard tables, benches, food and tents.

It's started

Summer camp might still be over a week away but the leaders are busy getting everything ready. I thought I'd start the blog early to record just what goes into the week...

Wednesday evening - leaders meeting

Thursday evening - first round of getting kit out and checking tents have all their poles etc... Also unloading kayaks and loading toppers onto the trailer.

And a big thank you to Louisa for driving to whitstable to collect the double row boat trailer.
