6am wake up call

All Cubs are up and had bacon sandwiches and cerial. It was quite a cold night but everyone slept well apart from the 6am wake up call!

Lovely clear and sunny morning at the moment.

Fires and campsite

Lunch

Hotdogs, hot chocolate and biscuits... Quite a few of the Cubs managed to eat 3 hot dogs - I don't quite know where they put them!

Tents are all up so off to the woods for fire lighting and a little experimenting cooking on the fires.

Cub camp - We've arrived

All Cubs and leaders survived the journey!!!

Just leaving

We are leaving site a little late but expect to be back at Marsh Street for 4.30pm.

Patrol camping

Patrol camping is when small groups of 6-8 scouts camp in their "patrols". As a patrol they are responsible for their own tents, campsite, dining area, cooking and fire.

This weekend we have 3 patrols camping in the woods. Each group has 2 (or 3) tents, dining shelter, food and equipment. All cooking has been done on their own (well, with a little help!) over open fires.

Dinner went well and they all slept well. They have also now had breakfast after getting up and lighting their fires.

Here's how they have got on...
